Clean Water Global's service & how we work
We ensure that harmful substances, such as paint rinse water, do not enter the sewer system, where they can pollute our environment.
What can and cannot go into the sewer?
Only household waste and water (such as rainwater) can be discharged into the sewer system. Hazardous substances, such as paint rinse water, oils, chemicals, and other harmful materials, should never be disposed of in the sewer. These substances can degrade water quality and be harmful to the environment and drinking water.
Clean Water Global collects the paint rinse water and transports it to a collection site in Belgium or the Netherlands.
There, it is processed into clean water and raw materials. The clean water is free of PFAS and can be reused in the process. The raw materials can be used to create new circular products. The plastic buckets in which the rinse water is brought are then delivered to an external party, which turns them into raw materials to create new recycled buckets.
Clean Water Global is active in Belgium and the Netherlands. Be sure to check all our collection points on our deposit points page.
Because all the deposits go through the app from Clean Water Global, we can see when there is a deposit with rollers and brushes. When we see that there are rollers and brushes deposited, we plan a route as soon as possible to come and pick them up. Mostly we can bring the rollers and brushes back within two weeks.
You just have to keep in mind that we have to come and pick them up. We take them then to our collection point, clean them and have to bring them back to the store where we picked them up.
Regulations and certificate
Discharging harmful substances into the sewer can lead to the pollution of rivers and lakes, which is not only damaging to the ecosystem but also to our drinking water. Clean Water Global provides responsible solutions for cleaning and safely disposing for paint rinse water. In this way the paint rinse water what contains biocides, acticides, heavy metals, PFAS and more does not enter our water network. In that case we can build a clean, safe future together.
Painters
When painters drop off their paint rinse water at a collection point from Clean Water Global, they need to make a deposit through the Clean Water Global app. After their payment they automatically receive a disposal certificate through the CWG-app. All certificates remain available in the app and can be viewed at any time.
Internal deposit points
If you have such big volumes that you have an own deposit point at your place, you don't make deposit through the app. When your tank/box is full, you can give us a sign that we need to pick up the rinse water. After we picked it up and calculated the volumes, you receive invoice and your disposal certificate.
Costs
If you, as a painter, want to drop off your paint rinse water at a store, it will cost you €8 per 10 liters. However, we recommend adding a disposal fee of 2% to your quotes for customers. With this 2%, you can easily cover the costs of disposing of paint rinse water.
These prices strongly depend on the customer's needs. If you are interested in a unit, it’s best to contact us or schedule an appointment. That way, we can explore the possibilities together and determine the associated costs.
